What’s New – May 2026
This month brought updates across several areas of the platform, including the Global Question Library, AI follow-up questions, MaxDiff analysis, survey building, panel management, dashboard filtering, and report performance.
Highlights
Survalyzer Question Library
License: Professional and above

We’ve released the Survalyzer Question Library available within our Survey Builder. It provides predefined survey content that can be added directly to a questionnaire, helping users start faster, keep wording consistent, and reduce manual setup work.
The library includes common question formats, such as Likert scales, Visual Smileys, and CSAT, as well as research templates, standardized wording, and preconfigured logic, filters, and technical settings.
Currently available in: English, German, Swiss German, French, Swiss French, and Dutch.
AI Follow-Up to Open Question
License: Expert

AI Follow-Up is now available for all Expert users. When respondents give short or incomplete answers to open-ended questions, Survalyzer can automatically ask a follow-up question to better understand their response.

MaxDiff – Better Default Settings & Analysis
License: Expert

MaxDiff now comes with improved default settings based on the number of items in your study. This gives users better starting configurations aligned with market research best practices.
Default report analysis has also been updated across report wizards, with a stronger focus on the Preference Index metric. This makes it easier to see how items rank and which ones perform above or below average.

Survey Building
Script – Big Editor
License: Expert

You can now edit Script code in a dedicated “big editor” pop-up, making it easier to work with longer or more complex code.
Script – Convert to Value Assignment
License: Professional and above

With new Survalyzer design, all old Value Assignments became Script elements, regardless of their complexity. To keep simple Value Assignment view for simple cases, and keep it editable for all Professional users within the account, now it is possible to convert “legacy” Script elements to new Value Assignment elements with just few clicks.
Survey Distribution
Sample – Import Emails Unique across Multiple Samples or Panels
License: Professional and above

The sample creation wizard now includes a third validation option for email and phone uniqueness. It can check not only the imported file, but also selected samples and panels in the workspace, helping prevent duplicates during import.
Panel – Automatic Field Anonymization on Withdrawal
License: Panel Extension

Panels can now automatically anonymize selected member fields when a member changes to “withdrawn” status. Once enabled, the system immediately anonymizes the fields selected in the panel settings.
Panel – New “Parent Id” System Variable (Dashboard-Only Function)
License: Community Extension

The new ParentMemberId panel member system field enables hierarchy-based filtering in dashboards. It allows to write and store the ID of the member’s parent, such as a manager or team lead.
This feature is only supported in Panels and Dashboards. It helps to create a set-up, where dashboard viewers automatically see data relevant to their hierarchy without the need for custom variables and complex filtering logic.
Dashboards placeholders support up to 2 hierarchy levels, example usage:
{{member.Parent_1.Department}} allows to filter by department of the member’s direct parent, for example direct manager.
{{member.Parent_2.Department}} allows to filter by department of the next parent level, for example the manager’s manager.
Survey Analysis
Data Cube Sync – Daily Schedule + Manual Trigger Button
License: Dashboard Extension

Data Cubes now sync automatically once per day overnight instead of every 15 minutes, reducing background system load. A new manual trigger button in the Analyze sidebar allows users to force an immediate sync whenever fresher data is needed.
Improvements and Fixes
Panel – Members Who Hard Bounced Become “Withdrawn” on Weekly Basis
License: Community Extension
A weekly automation now identifies panel members with hard-bounced email addresses and sets their status to “withdrawn”. This helps keep panel data clean and protect delivery rates.
Excel Export – Auto Row Height for Multi-line Text in Text Element Body
License: Dashboard Extension
Excel report exports now correctly auto-adjust row height to match multi-line text content in text slot body elements.
Report Caching – Preserve Cache on Routine Report Updates
License: Dashboard Extension
Report cache is no longer cleared when routine report updates are made – such as changing table general settings or changing slot text. To see changes made to the report, cache cleaning is required (manual purge or cache expiry time).
