You can create a PowerPoint report in your own corporate design by downloading such a report from a completed survey to your PC (cf. the fourth stage in the Add new basic report topic). You can save this template under your own name and then start editing it.
In order to edit this PowerPoint template, the Slide Master view must be selected under the View menu.
Under Slide Master you can specify the colour palette under Colors and possibly the theme under Themes which should be used for the slides (pages) in the template.
In the slide master, you will notice several slides (pages), all of which are labelled with a specific name. The following slides which contain all placeholders for retrieving relevant survey data, must be included in the PowerPoint template:
ng-title: This slide contains the first page of the PowerPoint report. At the position of the placeholder {SurveyName} the name of the survey will be displayed and at the placeholder {ReportName} you will find the report name.
ng-1col: The following placeholders appear on this slide (page):
- {ReportCategory} – the name of the section in the corresponding survey.
- {ReportPageTitle} – the description of the survey question.
- {ReportPageSubTitle} – the statistical data of the question; the number of answers recorded.
- {ReportContentCol1} – the set of answers provided to a question.
ng-2col: The following placeholders appear on this slide (page):
- {ReportCategory} – the name of the section in the corresponding survey.
- {ReportPageTitle} – the description of the survey question.
- {ReportPageSubTitle} – the statistical data of the question; the number of answers recorded.
- {ReportContentCol1} – the set of answers provided to a question.
- {ReportContentCol2} – this column shows, for example, the answers given by participants to the even sub-questions (rows) of a matrix question. For instance, ratings for the second, fourth and sixth services in the left-hand column of a matrix question are displayed in this second PowerPoint column.
In order to customise the layout of the PowerPoint template, you can change the colour palette for the chart elements. You can choose from one of many colour palettes or create your own (at the bottom of the list).
By double-clicking on a placeholder from one of the slides, you can adjust the layout (e.g. font, font size and text colour) of the corresponding survey element in the PowerPoint template.
After you have applied all desired layout changes, you can save the PowerPoint template. After this, you can upload this template to your directory in the Files and media menu. Once the upload is complete, you can add this template to your workspace.
Clicking on the Edit icon (circled in red) from your workspace will open a screen depicting 3 tabs: General, Layout and Anonymization.
In the PowerPoint template field under Layout, you can select the template you have adjusted. If you now download a PowerPoint report from a survey, it will be formatted according to the template selected here.
