This article describes the panel share function for separating panel administration and panel usage. Panel share is a sub-section Panel Management: Panel Settings and Variables

Key information

With the panel share option, panel administration can be separated from panel use. There are therefore two new roles: panel user and panel administrator. The panel administrator has access to the personal data in the panel and can decide which other workspace should see the panel. The panel user can see an additional distribution option in the distribute tab of their surveys (see screenshot) and can send their survey to the panel.

Optionally, a workflow process can be set up so that the panel administrator must approve the distribution. Panel Share also allows for better management of panels because panel surveys and administration surveys (profile questionnaires and registration questionnaires) are managed separately in different workspaces.

Where can I find the panel share settings?

1. Go to your panels and click on tab Variables
2. Click on setting icon

How to enable panel share

1. Press ‘Hide recipient list in wizard’ to prevent personal data access by panel users
   It is also possible to show/hide specific variables, which can be important for the invitation process or analysis.
2. Press Enabled in section Panel sharing.
3. Select all workspaces or a set of workspaces that should see the panel in their workspace.
4. Publish the configuration.

Tips & Tricks

For customers with high data protection requirements, panelshare is the ideal option because its use can be separated from administration. This means that the group of people who can access the Panelshare option can also be severely restricted.

Please contact your account manager if you would like to combine an approval process with the Panelshare function. This approval process can be customised to suit your individual needs.
