Using this element, an e-mail is sent from the survey as soon as the participant arrives at this element in the survey.
Here you can specify the sender’s e-mail address, the recipient’s e-mail address, the subject and the message. You can use placeholders in the Message text box. Suppose you want to send a sales agent an overview of all contact request data, then you can include a PDF download link in the e-mail via the placeholder {{survey.answers_pdf}}.
- Include PDF download link
- Message template
- Setting a filter
The procedure can be set up as follows:
- Click in the Message box of the corresponding Send e-mail element.
- Click the Rich text editor link to activate the RTE window.
- Click the Placeholder icon.
- Enter the value PDF in the search field (1).
- Position the cursor at the position in the window (2) at which you want to insert the PDF download link.
- Click on the link {{survey.answers_pdf}} (3), so as to include the Download PDF link at the indicated position in the box.
- Click the Save changes button (4).
The recipient can click the Download PDF link in the e-mail to obtain a PDF file with the contact request details provided in the survey.
Alternatively, you can now send an email from the survey using a message template. This message template must be created in advance in the Messages menu.
You then do not have to provide information such as the e-mail address of the sender/recipient, the subject and the message.
Suppose you ask your customers if they want a sales agent to contact them. If they answer Yes to the question, a filter in the Send e-mail element allows you to send an e-mail with a contact request to the appropriate sales agent.
After having clicked the Add filter button for this element, you can set the desired filter data in the following window, e.g.
- Show this element
- If > Question > q3 Would you like the sales representative ..... > 1 Yes > selected
