Change question type

If you have added a question to the survey but are actually not satisfied with the question type you have currently selected, this function allows you to change the question type of this question. The procedure is as follows:

  • Click on the Edit icon located directly to the right of the question type used for the respective question. A drop-down list will then appear from which you can select the desired question type for the question.
  • Click the drop-down list button (bordered in red) and then select the desired question type from the list, e.g. Drop-down.
  • Click the tick mark located behind the drop-down list button for a warning window to appear asking you to confirm your choice. It lists consequences that are relatively minor when setting up a survey (e.g. data loss and filter deletion). Often such data can be easily restored. When converting a single response question incl. answer options to, for instance, a drop-down, the answer options remain unaffected. However, if a matrix question is chosen instead of a drop-down, the answer options are included as column headings.
  • Click the red Yes button to effect the change. The corresponding question and accompanying answer options are displayed based on the selected question type.
